This is Troy's mom. My son was diagnosed at the age of 7 with HSP (Henoch-Schonlein purpura) which damaged both his kidneys. He had his 1st kidney transplant at the age of 16, two days before his 17th birthday. He went into rejection with that kidney over the years and had a second transplant at the age of 25. Troy is in rejection again now, he is 29. This time it went faster than the last time. He is now in End Stage Kidney Failure. He has been hospitalized every month since March of 2024 for many illnesses contributing to his failed kidney. They are now talking about removing the kidney he received in 2021 because it's affecting his health. He no longer produces urine, so the kidney is not functioning and causing him pain and making him sick. Troy has a son that is 4 years old. From being in and out of the hospital so much, he has hardly spent time with him and his son is with his Mom mostly. We are searching for a Hero. Troy is O+.
