In January 2020, I was dying from a severe case in IPF( Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis) with a few weeks to live. I was rejected by Fairfax Hospital after admitting and giving hope. At the last they backed out with no satisfactory explanation. At this point, my last resort was the University of Maryland Medical Center at Baltimore with the assistance of my pulmonologist, Dr. Jeffrey Hasday. Within two weeks, with invaluable help from Living Legacy folks and the best transplant surgeons, I got a new life on February 13/14, 2020. Careful care by Dr. Aldo Iacono and other doctors, nurses, technicians, and the people at UMMC, Baltimore and the grace of God, I am doing very well.
