Infinite Legacy’s Donate Life Ambassador Program
Our Donate Life Ambassadors are the heart and soul of our organization. They include transplant recipients, donor families and friends, waitlist candidates, living donors and others who want to show their support for organ, eye and tissue donation. These individuals help inspire and educate our communities in Maryland, Northern Virginia and Washington, DC, about the critical need for lifesaving transplants and why people should register as organ, eye and tissue donors. Donate Life Ambassadors can represent Infinite Legacy at:
- Health fairs: Educate our communities about organ, eye and tissue donation by attending health fairs. Infinite Legacy will provide training and educational materials to support our volunteers.
- Motor vehicle office locations: Our “Adopt-A-Motor Vehicle Office” program allows Donate Life Ambassadors to host tables and educate motor vehicle office customers about the importance of registering as an organ, eye and tissue donor.
- Office administrative work: You can help our administrative staff with different tasks at our two locations in either Baltimore, MD or Falls Church, VA.
- Public speaking: Donate Life Ambassadors can share their connection to organ, eye and tissue donation at hospitals, schools, workplaces, with the news media and more.
- Infinite Legacy events: Volunteers have opportunities to participate in our large events like the Donate Life Fun Run, block parties and the Ceremony of Remembrance.

One person can save up to eight lives through organ donation and save and heal more than 75 lives through
tissue donation.

Infinite Legacy’s Volunteer Incentive Program: Why You Should Join
Our volunteers help support our mission to inspire and educate our communities about organ, eye and tissue donation. As a thank you, we offer five different incentive tiers to our volunteers. By recording your volunteer hours with Infinite Legacy in our volunteer management system, you can receive incentives like movie tickets, Donate Life apparel, gift cards and more. We encourage everyone impacted by organ, eye or tissue donation to volunteer with Infinite Legacy.
Service-Learning Volunteer Hour Opportunities with Infinite Legacy
Infinite Legacy provides schools, students and community programs with opportunities to get involved in our lifesaving mission. You can help by:
- Writing cards to children on the national transplant waiting list
- Assisting with community outreach events to raise awareness about organ, eye and tissue donation
- Painting Donate Life rocks to symbolize hope and resiliency
- Making sympathy cards for donor families who have lost a loved one
- Create a capstone project working with one of our departments in the organization

ANSWER- Anyone can volunteer with Infinite Legacy to help serve our communities in Maryland, Northern Virginia and Washington, DC. Many of our volunteers have a personal connection to our lifesaving mission, often including organ transplant recipients, donor families and living donors. We encourage anyone who is an advocate for organ, eye and tissue donation to volunteer with us and become a Donate Life Ambassador.
What are the volunteer opportunities with Infinite Legacy?
ANSWER- There are many opportunities to volunteer with Infinite Legacy to raise awareness in our communities about the importance of organ, eye and tissue donation. Many volunteers assist with tabling at health fairs, motor vehicle office locations and events like our annual Donate Life Family Fun Run. We also offer public speaking opportunities for those interested in sharing their connection to organ donation and transplantation. Finally, volunteers may help our administrative staff at either of our office locations in Baltimore, MD or Falls Church, VA.

How much time do I need to commit when I volunteer with Infinite Legacy?
ANSWER- Your commitment time will vary depending on your availability and what event(s) you choose to volunteer at. Events are often several hours long and can take place during business hours on weekdays, or on evenings and weekends. For those who choose to volunteer with us frequently, consider joining our volunteer incentive program to log your hours and receive perks like Donate Life apparel, gift certificates and more.
