At age 36, my worst nightmare was becoming a reality. My Cystic Fibrosis was taking it’s toll. My lung function had dropped to 25% and I was having constant life threatening infections. I had less than a year to live and was placed on a lung transplant list. My donor, my miracle saved my life on November 10, 2010. The tasks I am able to achieve easily now are a true blessing to me. My son still has his Mom and my loving, supportive parents still have their daughter. Our fight has been difficult but worth every minute of time that I have been given. Organ donation saved me and I’m forever grateful for the Gift of Life. Every breath I take is my donor’s living legacy!
